Why doesn't APC buy a cheaper brand?

Look carefully at your original APC battery. You may need to peel back the APC label. There's a good chance that underneath it says BB-Battery.

APC doesn't make batteries. APC tests many battery brands and buys only from the best battery manufacturers, primarily CSB, Panasonic and BB-Battery.
